Your Voice, Amplified At City Hall, Albany, Capitol Hill and beyond.
New York City is home to one of the largest military-connected communities in the country, veterans, servicemembers, family members, friends, and allies. Five Borough Veterans exists to advocate for all of them.
We are a grassroots organization built on the belief that real change comes from showing up, doing the work, and winning.
Our Legislative Focus
Our advocacy is organized around four pillars:
-
Mental health access, suicide prevention, healthcare benefits, and disability support. We fight for policies that protect the physical and emotional well-being of every member of the military-connected community.
-
GI Bill protections, workforce development, small business support, and career transition. We advocate to protect and advance the resources and opportunities this community has earned.
-
VA loan access, affordable housing, caregiver support, and family services. We push for policies that help military-connected families put down roots and thrive in New York City.
-
Voting rights, electoral access, legal protections, and civic representation. We work to ensure the military-connected community has a seat at every table that affects their lives.
This Is Your Fight Too.
Five Borough Veterans is open to everyone who believes in this community: veterans, servicemembers, family members, friends, and allies. If you want to get involved, we want to hear from you, and want you to hear from us.
