Great, So Now What?
Now that these conversations are complete, these next few days will be dedicated to reviewing the ratings our advocates have given each candidate, and finalizing our voter’s guide to be sent to each of you and our partners in the press.
Here’s what you can expect in our Voter’s Guide:
Written answers from each candidate addressing the four questions our leadership team has directly asked them.
Each question covers one of our four advocacy pillars (Health & Wellbeing, Education & Economic Opportunity, Home & Family Support, and Justice, Rights & Civic Engagement).A Confidence Rating Score.
As you know, we do not issue endorsements. We do provide the transparent data that our advocates have communicated to us. Each of them have given their individual ratings for each candidate. The final rating score, ranging from 1 (Lowest Confidence) to 10 (Highest Confidence), will be an average of the scores given. A score of 0 indicates that a candidate either declined our invitation or did not participate at all.An Explanation Why.
Along with the Confidence Rating Score, our advocates have provided detailed feedback on what aspects of each candidate influenced their chosen rating. We will compile this feedback into a transparent summary on why each candidate received the rating that they did.
Thank you again to the advocates, moderators, campaign staffers and candidates for making this initiative an overwhelming success.
In Service,
The Five Borough Veterans Team
